What our winterization includes
1. Clean the pool
Skim the surface
Brush the walls and floor
Vacuum the pool
Empty the skimmer and pump baskets
Remove as much debris as possible before closing
2. Balance the water chemistry
Proper water chemistry helps prevent staining, scaling and algae growth while the pool isn’t being used.
3. Prepare the equipment for winter
We turn off and prepare the pool equipment for winter to help protect the plumbing from freezing.
4. Secure the cover
Once the pool and equipment are ready, we secure the cover over the pool.
Why it matters
Skipping winterization can leave you with cracked plumbing or damaged equipment, plus a pool full of algae and debris in spring. Closing it properly protects your equipment and makes next season’s start-up easier.
Equipment repair in the off-season
Winter is a good time to fix or upgrade equipment before swim season. We repair pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation and plumbing, and we can replace an older pump with an energy-efficient variable-speed model.

What do you do to the equipment? We turn it off and prepare it for winter to help protect the plumbing from freezing.
Do you cover the pool? Yes. Securing the cover is the last step of our winterization.
Do you work in HOAs and gated communities? Yes. We already serve HOA neighborhoods and are happy to add more. For gated communities, we just need the gate code.
