Salt System Service
A salt system should keep your pool sanitized with very little effort. When the chlorine level drops, warning lights come on or algae starts showing up, the salt cell or the system around it usually needs attention. Bakers Pool Cleaning & Repair services salt chlorine generators and automatic chlorinators in Medford and throughout Jackson County.
What we work on
Salt chlorine generators (salt cells and control boards)
Automatic chlorine feeders (chlorinators)
Salt systems on Hayward, Pentair and Jandy equipment
Salt systems tied into pool automation
Signs your salt system needs service
Chlorine stays low even though the system is running
A "check salt," "inspect cell" or other warning light is on
White scale is building up on the cell plates
Algae is showing up in a pool that used to stay clear
The chlorinator is leaking or not feeding
Why scale builds up on salt cells here
Water in the Rogue Valley varies a lot from house to house. We have customers next door to each other on city water whose pools test differently for hardness and phosphates, and some homes have water softeners and some don’t. Harder water leaves scale on salt cell plates faster, which cuts chlorine output. Keeping water chemistry balanced is the best way to protect the cell.
How we service a salt system
Test and balance the pool water, including salt level
Inspect the salt cell and clean off scale when needed
Check the control board settings and warning lights
Check flow, filter pressure and the pump, since salt systems need good water flow to run
Explain any repairs or parts the system needs before we do the work
Add it to weekly service
Weekly maintenance customers get water chemistry tested and balanced every visit, which helps catch salt system problems early.
